RIP Steve Jobs

It was taken on Monday, the 7th of February, 2011…
This was my first trip to the Square (I am calling it a trip because it was for me the best place I have ever gone to in my life and trips are always for awesome and different places).
I won’t forget my feeling when I was there… I won’t forget those days and their effect on me, on every Egyptian, and on Egypt… I am also waiting for the day when I will tell my children about those days…
During those days, I felt for the first time that we as Egyptians have gained our dignity back, our freedom, and our inner peace.
We were having the ability to raise our heads up and say proudly that we are Egyptians (Although, for me, I was always proud to be).
The square was a real simulation of the Utopia of our dreams but it was on Earth… There was real democracy… There was co-operation between the different political parties and streams of thinking… There was the most important thing of all, there was justice… All the real values that we want to have in our society were there at the square…
Everyone was doing his own job in the square just perfectly… The revolution became a part of both our internal and external us… The willing to make change was our main goal… Every Egyptian was looking for the “We” not the “I”…
This picture and these thoughts are just a reminder for me before a reminder for anyone else that the revolution isn’t done yet and that El-Tahrir is still there… We haven’t made the change yet… We have just removed some of the weeds that are preventing the root from growing the stem that would penetrate the land to have a strong tree which will produce a great amount of delicious fruits…
Egypt that we love is still in need for the “We” not the “I”…

The Message of the kids to the world

With the name of the merciful Allah…

Peace be upon you all…

A good greeting…

At first, I was afraid…

I wasn’t used to listening… I wasn’t used to watching…

I wasn’t used to neither talking nor thinking…

I wasn’t willing to change…

But now Egypt is new…

And I have to make something useful…

And if I am going to start, I will start from my place…

Because if I am going to make a change, I will have to start by myself…

That’s why I am going to change and…

I am not going to throw rubbish on the ground…

I am going to say the truth and I am not going to be afraid…

I am going to finish all the food in my plate…

I am going to eat more vegetables…

I am going to drink a lot of milk…

I am going to listen from people not about them…

I am going to know about the elections’ programs of all the candidates before deciding…

I am not going to pull my sister’s hair again…

You cannot… =D

I am going to clean my room…

I am going to make all the prayers at the Masjd…

I am going to go to the Masjd and learn more Quran…

I am going to follow the orders of my mother and my father even if it was hard…

I am going to follow Allah’s disciplines because Allah loves me and knows where the good is for me…

That’s what I am able to do…

I am willing to do more things…

But I am still young…

What about you the elder…?!

Where is the change…?!

This is the message of the Egyptian kids at the Shooting Club to the world… They are trying to make a change in Egypt after the revolution…

And I will keep on saying: “Children are here in order for us to learn from them not the opposite” =))
